OCTOBER 2: Mr. Chen Hong, vice chairman of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) and president of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, visited SVW's CPII plant on an inspection tour of the "new car model project."

　　Mr. Chen came to see the body and assembly shops of CP II, which as part of the "new car model project" recently underwent an equipment overhaul -- where he was briefed by Wang Hao, manager of the Planning Department, on the progress of the new project.
With a spokesman reporting that the project recently entered into the equipment testing phase, Chen was asked questions about the shop's layout and the new technologies which will be employed in the car.

　　Accompanying Mr. Chen Hong were SVW managing director Chen Zhixin, SVW party secretary He Xiangdong, deputy secretary Yu Liangkun and personnel and administrative executive director Mr. Zhang Hailiang.
