Redesigned '08 POLO Jinqing and Jinqu launched

THE 2008 SVW POLO Jinqing and Jinqu cars were launched recently indicating the significant progress of personalized product marketing initiatives developed in line with the Beijing Olympics platform.

The '08 POLO series has been fully upgraded with a dynamic new configuration, cost performance and market competitiveness based on current market and consumer requirements. The 16 V-HLD intelligent logic control drive system was developed on the basis of VW AG's FSI engine, whose characteristics include high torque at low speed, durability with a low maintenance cost and efficiency with low fuel consumption.

The pioneering 1.4 L power was also upgraded for both cars. Engine power has been upgraded from the original 55 kw to 63 kw, with an enlarged high-speed torque, while maximum speed and 0-100 km/h acceleration time have also been significantly improved. The 1.6 L engine makes full play to the German cars' advantage -- high torque at low speed.

In terms of the interior configuration, all new models are equipped with 4 / 6 split rear seats and a seat belt warning system. The '08 POLO Jinqing (Style) and Jinqu (Premium) are equipped with a Bluetooth hands-free system, leather seats and side airbags. The Jinqing (Style) is equipped with a four-spoke sport steering wheel and the Jinqing (Fashion) comes with the recently designed hub decorated hoods.

The more consumer oriented 2008 POLO upgrading has received an overwhelmingly postive consumer response, giving SVW a competitive edge in the increasinlgly fierce small car auto segment.
