SINCE its June 6 launch, the Skoda Octavia Mingrui has been warmly received by the market, with over 3,000 Octavia cars delivered to customers as orders for the car continue to rise in the short span of a month.
Consumers of Octavia Mingrui are mainly from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Zhejiang, and other areas with well-developed vehicle sales networks.
As one official with SVW's Skoda Business noted, "The delightful sales performance is mainly attributed to the outstanding product quality and unique brand culture of the car." Born on VW's PQ 35 platform, the Octavia Mingrui is fitted with the powerful 1.8 TSI engine with a six-speed Tiptronic transmission and the finish is designed with great attention to detail, catering effectively to customer requirements. The pre-sale price -- ranging from 139,900 yuan to 185,900 yuan -- was a pleasant surprise to those with buying intentions.
Referring to the current supply shortage, the official denied the rumor that paying extra money would make it easier to secure an Octavia car in the present market and made a promise to work out ways to ease the hot demand and monitor the behaviour of dealers.
