LY 5 -- An official group led by Mr. Xi Jinping, Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), visited SVW for an inspection. Mr. Xi was accompanied by leaders of SAIC and SAIC Motor including SAIC Chairman Mr. Hu Maoyuan and SAIC Motor President Mr. Chen Hong. Secretary Xi and his entourage were warmly received by SVW's management team, including Managing Director Mr. Chen Zhixin, Deputy Managing Director Mr. Dieter Seemann, Personnel and Administrative Executive Director Mr. Zhang Hailiang and SVW Party secretary Mr. He Xiangdong.

At the showroom in Car Plant III, Secretary Xi listened attentively to Director Chen's introduction about the production layout and manufacturing system, and asked about the company's operation. He paid close attention to each car model displayed, while Director Chen explained the technical specifications and market performance of each model. Secretary Xi and his delegation them visited the assembly shop of Car Plant III and inspected the production and quality control areas. Xi shook hands with employees working on the assembly lines and gave instructions concerning the policies and welfare for model workers while listening to a work report made by Mr. Xu Xiaoping, a national model worker of SVW.

　In the afternoon, Secretary Xi and his entourage went on to visit Shanghai Dazhong Powertrain Co., Ltd, accompanied by Mr. Hu Maoyuan, Mr. Chen Zhixin and Mr. He Xiangdong.
