| Skoda Octavia tested in Heihe city |
series of tests under extreme weather conditions, ranging from the hottest region in Hainan province to the coldest part in the north. This winter the newly introduced Skoda Octavia (Mingrui) underwent cold weather testing in Heihe, a city in the northeast Heilongjiang province. A set of 20 Octavia cars with various displacements and fittings were chosen for a specially designed extreme cold weather durability test. According to SVW experts, the cars' electrical, chassis and engine systems performed more than satisfactorily during testing. Results exceeded all global standards set by VW AG. Representative of the car's performance was the cold start test:The car was subject to a temperature of -35oC for up to 8 hours, demonstrating good cold resistance as well as exemplifying the reliable quality enshrined in VW's tradition.

Starting last year, SVW began to conduct high-altitude engine tests on the 5200m Mount Tanggula. In the near future, SVW aims to invent and carry out even more severe tests for all its products, in an effort to provide customers with ever better cars and ever more satisfactory service.
