Being a member of the big family of the entire society, SVW has, while creating a huge amount of wealth for the state, made its contribution to the society, especially to the educational cause, cultural and charity events.
To relieve people in the disaster-stricken areas in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi and Hunan and other provinces, the Company as well as its Chinese and foreign employees donated millions of RMB. To push on with the automotive research projects at universities and promote the popularization of refined arts, SVW made donation to Tongji University and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. To set up SVW Red Cross Geriatric Nursing Home and Zhongren Aged Apartment, SVW donated several million RMB. To help bringing up handicapped children, SVW donated millions of RMB to Shanghai Red Cross and Children's Welfare House. To help dropouts go back to school, SVW donated money to the establishment SVW Hope primary Schools in Tibet, Xinjiang, Gansu, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces. SVW has also subscribed to children's magazines and papers worth RMB 7 million for nearly 5000 primary schools in China for five successive years and donated RMB 2 million to the opening of the SVW Hotline for Assistance to Schooling.

Since its establishment, SVW donated over 50 million yuan totally to the social undertakings of China, such as charity, education and sports events.
