The advanced windscreen wiper “Aerowisch” based on aerodynamics is adopted on Touran. The area to be wiped is electrically controlled; the parts and structure of the wiper conform to the aerodynamic principles and reduce the air resistance. What is more important is that it has an improved wiping performance during high speed driving. |

Electronic power steering (fitted with two small gears) is used for the first time on Touran, which is the first case among the comparable vehicles. In this way the steering stability is guaranteed for turning at high speeds and active safety is thus enhanced. |

The turn signal light is uniquely integrated into the rear view mirror, of which the outer extreme of the vehicle gives turning signal. The mirror gives a wider field of vision with a better effect. Because of smooth body surface, the vehicle's aerodynamic performance becomes even more satisfactory. |

Heat insulating green tinted glass is used. The green color of side windows and the rear windows from the second onwards of the deluxe version is darkened by 35%, so that there is color gradation to ensure the front row driver a good visibility and the rear row passengers a good sun shield. The co-driver seat is provided with a small foldaway table. The second row is made up of 3 separate seats; each is adjustable either forward or backward. The third row consists of 2 single seats, which can be lowered below the floor with the help of a hand lever. |
