The 4 th generation radio frequency recognizing technology is adopted for the electronic anti-theft system. The integrated chip, which is built in the ignition key, can automatically cancel the anti-theft function when the key is inserted into the ignition switch. With a high technical intensity, the anti-theft system is easy to use and highly reliable. Under normal situations, a legitimate user never feels its existence. |

The MQ 200 5-speed transmission on Touran was a manual-operated mechanical one specially developed by VWAG for compact vehicles. Its maximum torque is 200 N · M. With a high technical intensity, the transmission looks compact and short in appearance. |

Single piece dry diaphragm spring clutch is used on the vehicle. The diaphragm keeps in contact with the circumference of the clutch disk with a uniform pressure and greatly reduces the disk friction. The diaphragm spring has a feature of non-linear elasticity, which dependably transmits the engine torque and operates conveniently. In addition, as the friction material of the clutch does not contain asbestos, it causes no environmental pollution to the society. In the clutch there are also four springs to absorb vibration and noise, making driving more smooth and comfortable. |

Advanced engine technology: variable camshaft technology is applied. The chain mechanism of the camshaft is controlled by means of the ECU. Advanced Bosch ME 7.5.10 is used as engine control technology, including CAN-BUS, which connects controllers such as ABS, combination dashboard and automatic transmission and makes data sharing possible. |
