| ¨ Major technical characteristics of the
engine
GOL adopts 1.6L straight-four engine with multi-point electrically
controlled fuel injection, overhead camshaft and has created a new
power source for economy family cars.
Strong power performance
As a model of new generation economy family car, the power of GOL
can compete with any other automobiles. The maximum power can be
64KW/5200r/min and under the engine speed of 3000r/min, the powerful
torsion of GOL achieves a peak output of 128 N/M. The start acceleration
is so quick that it takes only 13.2s to reach 100km/h after start.
The maximum speed exceeds 171km/h.
Environment friendly
GOL adopts three-way system and the precious and heavy metal content
is as high as 80g/ft3, therefore, exhaust of the car can easily
meet the NO.2 Europe emission standard. High efficient fuel recovering
device and effective control of fuel evaporation exhaust further
reduce pollution to the environment and green environmental protection
is ensured.
High economic efficiency
As an economy car, GOL is by no mean inferior in terms of oil economy.
Oil consumption is ≤4.9L/100km at constant speed of 60km/h, ≤6.1L/100km
at 90km/h and ≤8.0L/100km at 120km/h. Taking high efficiency and
high performance into account at the same time, the excellent oil
economy makes driving free from worry.
Advanced control performance
GOL adopts a multi-point oil injection system. The ECU (electronic
control unit) is something like a commander and the injection nozzle,
λ sensor, knock sensor, manifold air temperature and pressure sensors
are the “ears and eyes” dispatched by the commander to the battle
fields. The “ears and eyes” get “information” like a spy in various
operation conditions and send the information to ECU, the commander,
which determines the operation condition of the engine based on
the reflected information, calculates the volume of oil and controls
the injection nozzle, making the operation of the engine in every
operation condition within the best and most rational scope for
both great power and ideal economy. At the same time, the emission
requirements can be met.
